Who Would Most Benefit From a Middle School Program? We believe that all students will benefit from a smoother, more personal transition from Primary learning to Secondary learning. However, students who have struggled in years 5 and 6 at Primary School will especially benefit from the extra security and personal touch of the Middle School.
If you have looked at your child and honestly thought: "How is he/she going to cope at Secondary College next year?" then we respectfully suggest that our Middle School may be the perfect solution. Your child can be in a school with Years 5 and 6 children where they will not feel intimidated or overwhelmed.
The Valley Christian Community School has an excellent reputation for its work in literacy. In many cases, children have "caught up" dramatically when introduced to the phonics program at our school. Children who would otherwise have been asked to "stay down" in Years 5 or 6 can move ahead without fear or anxiety. If you are concerned about the influences that will suddenly burst in upon your child in Secondary College, or perhaps if your child is known to be "easily led", then Middle School offers peace of mind. (See our other literature for details of the Christian values on which our school is founded!)
What Should I Do Next? If you think that The Valley Christian Community School may be a good option for your son or daughter, the next step is to make a no-obligation appointment to discuss conditions of enrolment, fees, etc. This can be done by calling the school on (03) 5133 7924.
